Post 10: English Language Challenges

Well, I think that this subject, English, it's very important for any student of any career at anywhere in the world, because, as we all know, it´s the most popular language, and is essential to know, at least, the basic handling. This knowledge can be very useful when us, like recent graduates, are looking for a job. Also, during the university, a lot of papers, and a lot of information is written in English, so is very important take this subject seriously. Particularly, this subject in the Social Sciences Department of Universidad de Chile, is very well thought, because it brings to the students useful and necessary concepts for the development of activities related to the social sciences. I liked this subject because it develops in a very relaxed environment, which make easier the learning and doesn´t stress the students so much. Post 9: Changes to my study programme

I think that my study programme can be better in a lot of aspects. I think, that a social science like sociology can be more applied  in the different areas that she have, I think that my study programme can make more nearly the experience to the student if the student could be follow a determinate study over more time that the estimated to one ore two semesters. This because I think that the student can be able to understand so much better the real application as much form the theory part as from the practical part of the career. How to deal with a social phenom is something that the itself phenom says to the investigator, so its so much difficult have a real knowledge about how to carry trough a investigation if we don´t have a good connection between our subjects and a specific investigation. Post 7: Someone I'd like to meet

In my life I haven´t had many idols, and over time I've tried to eliminate devotions to another person, but I would really like to spend a day with Diego Armando Maradona.  "El Diego" is the god of football, he was born on October 30th of 1960 in Lanús, Buenos Aires. He made his debut at 15 years old in the Argentinian Professional Football League and in his first play he passed the ball into the legs of a rival (play named "caño", or "panna"). Since he was a child all people around him knew that he would be a superstar, so Diego Maradona is a person who, although he was born in poverty, he was raised as a phenomenon, he always knew that he was going to be the best. Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

Today I don't really have a postgraduate study expected, but I have some ideas. Well, when I postulated to the University I postulate in first place to psychology, because my interest on social psychology, and in second place to sociology, and because the score I entered into the degree of sociology. Today, if I had to postulate again to the university I would choose in first place sociology, without doubt, because I feel that sociology can explain most completely the universe of the social world.  Nevertheless my interest about social psychology still exist, so I think that with the base of sociology I can entry in the world of social psychology with a wide panorama. Investigating in the Universidad de Chile web page I found a postgraduate diploma course called 'Critical Social Psychology and Politics Process', which is interested in the qualitative study of social process with power and domination relationships, inequality and discrimination. Post 5: My future Job

Well, I dont´t really have a definite idea about a specific job that I would like to have, but I'm in process to find it. In my life I was always near to the sports world, principally to the soccer world, and that makes me think my own person in the future near to this area. This idea was decreasing with the pass of the years since I realise that the future as a soccer player doesn´t exist. The interest for the humanistic world, my interest about history, philosophy and sociology will come later. In the last years of the school I really take the taste of the study, and principally of philosophy, and that opened me a world of different options. In the university I am increasing my universe of options about my future, because I didn´t see a closed world inside sociology. Post 2: The best concert ever

Well, one of the best concerts that I remember in the last times happened in the National Stadium of Santiago de Chile in 2017, it was "La Cumbre del Rock Chileno" and a lot of Chilean bands played there, some of them more popular than others. But this concert had an important particularity: It was the last concert of Jorge Gonzalez. I haven´t really considered to go to the concert because the tickets were very expensive, but one day a very good friend called me and told me that he had two tickets for the concert and he invited me. My friend's stepfather, long time ago, had been the keyboardist of Lucybell, a very important rock band in Chile, so he had some free tickets and gave them to my friend. The concert was very very good, in spite of some of the bands that I didn´t really like. I really enjoyed bands like Los Tres, Aparato Raro, Alex Anwandter, Nano Stern, Mon Laferte, Juana Fe, Chancho en Piedra, Santa Feria, Guachupé, and of coruse, Jorge Gonzalez. Well, one o
